YHWH Is Not Disappointed in You
Share
“For though the righteous falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked stumble in evil.”
— Mishlĕ (Proverbs) 24:16, TS2009
You’re Not Who You Think You Are
Too many men walk around under the crushing weight of guilt, failure, and shame—not because YHWH declared it over them, but because they’ve declared it over themselves.
The enemy is loud: “You blew it.”
“You’re failing your family.”
“You’ll never change.”
“You’re not enough.”
But here’s the truth—YHWH never said that.
He never called you a disappointment.
He Sees a Son, Not a Screw-up
YHWH sees you falling, yes. But He also sees you getting up.
The righteous man isn’t righteous because he never falls.
He’s righteous because he doesn’t stay down. He gets up—again and again—and walks toward YHWH.
“But now, thus said יהוה, your Creator, O Ya‛aqoḇ, and He who formed you, O Yisra’ĕl, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name, you are Mine.”
— Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 43:1, TS2009
You are His. Not because you’re perfect.
But because He chose you, pursued you, and placed His name on you.
Drop the Shame. Pick Up Your Name.
Shame says, “Stay hidden.”
YHWH says, “Come closer.”
Shame says, “You’ll never change.”
YHWH says, “I am making all things new.”
You can be broken and still chosen.
You can be healing and still holy.
You can be working through it and still worthy of love.
Action Steps:
1. Write this down: “YHWH is not disappointed in me. He delights in me.” Read it aloud every day this week.
2. Ask yourself: Where have I believed shame over Scripture?
3. Speak life: Replace every lie with truth. “I am called. I am forgiven. I am rising.”
Brother, you don’t need to earn YHWH’s love—you just need to receive it.
And then rise up and walk like a man who belongs to the King.
